I began my UX journey by way of game design and tea, because I love crafting experiences. As a student of literature and psychology, my focus has always been on how people interact with, understand, and, perhaps most importantly, feel about what they read, watch, play, etc. Finding new ways to make people think and feel and trying out new blends are what bring joy to my life.
I have nearly two decades experience as an educator, media producer, and now UX and game designer. I studied Classics and Psychology at the University of Missouri - Columbia and Comparative Literature at the University of Michigan. I've taught Japanese literature and media studies, and for the past three years, I've been one half of the Furidashi Game Design Academy, where I record and produce regular podcast episodes as well as blog about UX issues in game design.
